The Embassy of Pakistan is seeking a skilled Translator having Pakistani Nationality and be able to provide interpretation, transcription, and translation services in Embassy of Pakistan, Kabul. The position would purely be on contractual basis
1. Translator (Darri and Pashto) Number of post: 1 (one)
Job station: Embassy of Pakistan, Kabul
2. Duties & Responsibilities:
Translator shall have the ability to listen, read, write and speak in clear and concise grammar and pronunciation, and provide translation and interpretation services in the required language(s) i.e. Pashto, Darri and English.
The candidate must also be well conversant with Urdu. 3. Skills and Job/position Requirements :
a. High level of communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills. b. Ability to conduct accurate and consecutive translation, transcription, and interpretation from Darri andPashto into English and vice versa. c. Ability to Translate various syntax and expressions to include informal and slang phrases from English, Darri Pashto and vice versa d. Ability to conduct consecutive, accurate nterpretation of on-going conversations and/or activities. e. Accurately scan, research, and analyse required language documents. f. Ability to function effectively and efficiently during extended periods in challenging environment. g. Must be fully conversant with the use of computers and contemporary IT tools specially languages relatedsoft wares applications
4. Education and Experience: a. Must have a Bachelor's degree (16 year) in English Pashto Darri from a reputable university, preferably from Pakistan b. Diploma in Interpretational skills/native languages (Pashto and Dani) would be given additional weightage. c. 2+ years of interpretation experience in a well-known interpretation company or have the experience at the same position at an Embassy of International/National organization
