Create Patterns In Adobe Photoshop

in Adobe Photoshop when we use Paint Bucket, Pattern Stamp, Healing Brush, and Patch tools then there is an option to use pattern. Now question is that what is pattern.

Answer is a pattern is an piece of image that is repeated, or tiled, when used to fill a layer or selection. In Photoshop there is a collection of preset patterns, which are displayed in pop-up palettes in the options bar and we fill our layer with these patterns.

In adobe photo shop we also create our own pattern and save these pattern for the feature use. There are two ways of making the pattern first extraction form an image and other one is customize you own pattern.

Create The Patterns from Picture

First, open up Adobe Photoshop and open the image form which you want to create an Pattern.

Now you need to select the area from which you want to generate the pattern. Go to the rectangular marquee tool and click and drag a section to use.

Now Copy The Selected Portion (Press CTRL+C)

Click on Filter Menu and Select Patternmaker. This brings up an new screen.

First you should click on the box next to use clipboard as sample.

Now specify the width and height and other options for the Pattern Tile.

After This click on the Generate Button. After a few seconds your new pattern will appear.

click on little disc icon to Save this pattern.

Give the name to this Pattern Tile and Save it
